International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
And we want to celebrate it with you!
As March 8 falls on a weekend, we will be coming together as a community on Friday March 6th to enjoy a sit down breakfast, a glass of bubbles and panel presentation from four incredible Brisbanites who have ventured abroad and returned home to enjoy the sunny state. They have returned with more experience, resilience and confidence to boot.
With confidence listed as one of the biggest challenges faced by women in their professional career, we will glean their insights on how to set big goals and reach them in 2020.
AWS is a big supporter of Women in Digital, gender diversity and diversity and inclusion more broadly and proactively work with organisations and community initiatives to create change. You can read more about AWS and how they are addressing the digital workforce gap here.
4 ladies who have ventured abroad and conquered their international career goals:

- Laura Stokes: CMO at Orange Sky
- Marie Mortimer: Managing Director at loans.com.au
