What’s the role?

We offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer within the Secure Network Services (SNS) team within the Technology division. This position works closely with the customer engagement team, network architecture team, engineering, build and run teams, providing expert technical services implementing, managing, operating and supporting high performance technology infrastructure.

Core responsibilities include:

• Lead the operations and troubleshoot and analyse technical problems on all types of networked services, equipment, and devices
• Participate in Major Incident Management activities, identifying network performance issues and trends
• Coordinate resolution activities with IT groups across systems and platforms
• Monitor alarms, open tickets, diagnose, resolve, document issues and escalate as needed
• Provide detailed design and technical review of network changes
• Develop and influence relationships with all stakeholders as the key point of contact for Technical Consultations
• Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure solution designs meet networking standards
• Provide on-call support on a periodic, rostered basis

What do I need? Essential:

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong technical knowledge of Cisco Routing and Switching (BGP, OSPF, STP, NXOS, N9K)
• Strong technical knowledge of DNS, DHCP and IPAM – Infoblox Infrastructure
• In-depth technical networking experience – 5+ years
• Prior work experience in large organizations supporting complex networks and network operations – 5+ years

Highly Desirable:

• Strong WAN routing knowledge and hands-on ISP network troubleshooting
• Strong technical knowledge in VxLAN EVPN or related overlay technology
• Strong understanding of Cloud networking Azure/AWS
• CCNP or CCIE certification
