The Women in Digital Awards were founded based on the idea ‘you can’t be what you can’t see.’ The awards are a celebration of incredible women and non-binary folk within the digital industries and the organisations that support them.
For the 2021 Women in Digital Awards, we received over 300 nominations, 200 submissions and a record-setting 700 guests at the Women in Digital Awards Gala. This award recognises the importance of employee diversity in developing more innovative and inclusive companies to support the future of women in technology. The Rising Star of the Year is awarded to a driven and ambitious early-in-career digital specialist who has demonstrated an outstanding level of initiative and leadership as a digital specialist within the first five years of their career.
The Software Engineer of the year recognises excellence in software development. The recipient of this award has shown that they are a leader in developing software.
The Innovator of the Year is awarded to Australia’s most outstanding innovator, recognising the most forward-thinking, innovative and disruptive product, service or business enhancement of the year.
The Digital Experience Leader award recognises the extraordinary power of customer-centricity and the medium of digital to create exceptional online experiences. This is an individual entry designed to recognise and showcase exceptional work that meets customer needs in a seamless and meaningful way.
Recognising an individual who is transforming organisations and enhancing decision-making through the use of Data, this award recognises a distinctive business leader who has built a revolutionary data-centric program while guiding teams to outstanding achievement through vision, inspiration, creativity, and commitment.
The UX Leader of the Year recognises Australia’s best UX Leader, acknowledging the extraordinary power of user experience design to create meaningful and intuitive customer experiences.
The Champion of Change award celebrates an innovative and community-oriented organisation that is using digital technology to create change and social good. This award recognises remarkable people in the industry doing just that. It will be awarded to the best Australian Champion of Change working in digital and technology to improve sustainability, accessibility, inclusion or equality.
This honorary award is presented to an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander role model that identifies as a female or non-binary person and is using technology for social good within their community.
The Digital Workforce: Skills for the Future award acknowledges an organisation that is investing in the future of its workforce through digital skill development and training. This award recognises the important role employers play in evolving their workforce’s skills and capabilities, particularly in light of the rapid pace of change in the fourth digital revolution.
