The Women in Digital Awards were founded based on the idea ‘you can’t be what you can’t see.’ The awards are a celebration of incredible humans in the digital industries and the organisations that support them.

I’m Hannah Gossow, a senior product designer leading EV Power Up in Origin’s Future Energy team. I’m helping to shape the future of smart charging for Australian electric vehicle (EV) owners. We’ve recently launched our beta product – the first ever EV smart scheduling solution in Australia – EV Power Up! We’re on a mission to revolutionise how Australians charge their EVs by creating a seamless, convenient, innovative smart charging solution for our customers through Origin’s VPP – the energy grid of the future. Throughout the past year, I’ve spearheaded critical design decisions for this groundbreaking product. Serving as a UX researcher, strategist, designer, and tester, I have been integral from the early stages of development to internal employee trials, customer beta trials, and the public beta launch. Now, in the continuous improvement phase, we have successfully enrolled 2,500 customers, enabling us to efficiently manage and optimise their vehicle charging.
